I am weighing options, rebuild turbo, new turbo or try this. My car burns some oil and am pretty sure it's coming through the turbo. Dan @ 034 suggested the catch for small ammounts of oil past the turbo.
Just looking for opinions.

Probably helps on an older high mileage engine with more blow by (the rings) that gets sent through the PCV system to the intake tract where it gums up the intercooler and the throttle body.
Note: You can capture these vapours on the intake side of the head, you don't need to run them through the cam cover (like stock) and then pick them up on the exhaust side like some people have done.

The aircraft spruce one is the least expensive one I've found, but you may need 2 depending on how much flow it can handle and how much power you are generating. IMO it would be fine up to Stage 1+ but RS2 levels it may cause higher crank case pressures.
IMO this is a good part to add to any motor. Any high reving motor would benefit from a healty crank case breather setup. Also do the world a favor, never ever vent to atmosphere, one it harms the enviroment and two you can suck in crap as the breather may pull a vacuum at low rpms.
I also feel having a vortex unit or baffle setup is a good idea as it helps trap oil droplets which helps the engine operate more effiently over it's life span and as long as you recoup the oil (drain back to the block) you help the enviroment. If I can also guess why the Audi engineers ran the crank case vent through the cam cover is to keep the oil vaporize as to limit the puddling in the intake track. Doesn't seem to help to much.
