Default

just remove them. It's very easy and worth it.

Default I left the lights in...

The trick I used on the IC to TB - strech the IC end for a couple of hours 0n a larger tubular item - I used a spray can. Dip hose in HOT water - will pop right on.

Default Done (almost).

I did remove the driver's side headlight, pretty easy with the tips in links below. The hardest part was getting the two lower screws back in afterwards; I used a magnet-on-stick thingy to get them lined up since my fingers don't fit in there well.

I used a little spit to lube the hoses, didn't have to heat any of them up, but it did take some coaxing. I was a little worried about cracking the plastic IC end tanks, since they seem kind of wimpy.

I actually haven't finished the turbo to x-over hose installation yet. I did take the MAF to turbo hose completely out of the car to check for shaft play (very little, even though I had a fair amount of oil in the x-over and lower hoses) and to clean it all up. Also have a new BPV going in (710N package but labelled 710G, D'Oh!).

Default really no need to remove headlight, just remove the back cover

that provides enough room

Default I used a small amount of soap and water, figured it would evaporate while I finished the brakes

24 hours later

Default Whole headlight/turn signal was pretty easy.

I pulled the whole headlamp/turn-signal assembly out, and rested it on a rag on the bumper without unplugging either of the connectors. That allowed me to reach one hand through the hole, and the other from above. Plenty of room to work.
