hell to look for in an S car.

Its the little wear items that can kill the joy of owning one.

Don't.....I repeat....Don't buy one w/o doing a compression and leak down test. Do a wet one.Inspect the spark plugs.

Get the car on a lift and inspect the fuel lines underneath, the subframe bushings,gas tank mounts,steering assembly... leaks,etc.

Ask Scott what a PITA it was to do his rack.

If you can spend 5500....add another 2-3K and get a well sorted one. Most S-cars less than 7K IMHO have looming issues that will cost you .

In the S-car realm, overall mileage is a non-issue. These cars are built like titanium **** houses.Extremely durable.

UrS4s I might end up checking out. And there is a B5S4 up near boston that a buddy of mine will be checking out this weekend for me also.

I just really wnat to get back in an audi and Im resisting getting anything newer than '01.

Werd, looks and not having to deal with a distributor cap are worth it alone.
