Default highly recommended audi / vw technician in kansas city

If anyone in the KC area is searching for an experienced Audi or VW technician, I'd recommend Mike Simmons. I was referred to him by the local Audi dealership when they were unable to resolve the hesitation/stalling issues my 94 S4 was experiencing. The car was at the dealership for 2 weeks and they were unable to diagnose. In contrast, Mike had the problem figured out in less than 2 hours. Mike is Audi trained and certified, and currently works at a VW dealership. He does work on the side at his house in Merriam, KS. He drives an RS2'd S6, and is friendly, knowledgable, and priced very fairly. Here's his cell # (but please call after 6pm (central time) when he gets home from work. 816-510-7710

Default Alternate title: Why not to take your UrS to a dealer, EVER!

A mechanic that owns, has owned or at the very least has extensive experience working with the AAN is a must with these cars.
