and 335/339 might be optimistic- factory RS2s were only rated at 315/302. You could argue that the C4 has a better intake path and possibly better exhaust, but I'd be surprised if they're 20HP better than the B4.
Anyway, I did have a conversation years ago with Joe Hoppen about why they were selling the Euro S6 struts and HP2 calipers as their suggested brake "upgrade", when friends that had them couldn't find performance pads worthy of the name. His reply was "Well, they're factory parts" which I understood to mean that using Audi parts would have less potential for liability issues than an in-house design.
