How difficult is it to remove and replace a front fender?

Default HUGE 2nd. Had to tow a friends UrS due to the exact same issue..

Filled the carpet and got to the ECU = nighty night while driving down the highway. Took two days to dry out. No longterm damage afterwards though!

Default Agreed, I have the passenger fender off on the urs4 (P/O got in an accident) and there's not much to

see. I don't think you'll have much success here.

Default yea....

these ECU's are pretty stout compared to bosch ME 7.'s mine got a bit wet. Took it apart and cleaned/dried it expecting the worse but it worked flawlessly just make sure the wiring doesnt stay wet or else the wire will just eat itself away, thats what i've found working on the newer passats @ work.

also may i add that with that puddle, water started spitting out through the de-froster vents =D

Default I think a couple of different things happen

It was not sealed as well as it could of been from the beginning (dirt, not enough sealer) and or expansion and contraction from extreme heat/cold seperates glass from seal.
