(Copy and paste from the updated header on every window.)
To enable Threaded view please go to:
https://forums.audiworld.com/profile.php?do=editoptions
and scroll down to "Thread Display Mode", and select either Hybrid or Threaded mode.

Okay, by editing my profile to "Like" the threaded format, the Original S-cars FAQ is *somewhat* better (at least you can see it all in one quick scroll). Good news. Now why didn't Kris Hansen tell me that in our off-line email conversations?

This option wasn't enabled until a couple hours ago. I noticed the Header change when I got home from work and after I finished up the exhaust install on my TT.
I did look for the option earlier this AM, so AW definatly change it later in the day due to user request I'm sure.
I'm guessing most of the moderators didn't know about it yet.

I reset my profile at work to "threaded" and now coming home and firing up the home computer, the threaded profile looks so much better, even better than it did at work, almost the old format. Even the FAQ looks much better:
https://www.audiworld.com/forums/sho...php?p=18872716 (if you have switched to threaded display that is)
So why in H**K wouldn't they have rolled vB out defaulted to "threaded". Would have saved a look of grief and angst and the mass exodus of 1700 people to, er, "other forums".

1. Why should we 'have patience'? If something isn't there, it's not there... and it wasn't. Now it is... OK well done but am I supposed to go "Yes this sucks now but no it doesn't suck its really great because all the features I want maybe will be added in the next few days!" Makes no sense. We can only comment on what we get. Had somebody said "Display Modes are coming soon" maybe... but they didn't anyplace I saw...
2. They've done a complete hack misery job of Threaded Mode by putting the threads at the bottom. On a standard vB implementation the threaded part - DUH - comes at the top of the screen so you see the thread layout before the posts. This setup is farqtarded.

I've unstuck the FAQ and other post so they will move down the topics and out of the way.

They'll find it the same way they used to. They ask a question and you tell them to stfa and check the FAQ.
sorry, but i couldn't resist. They should make a faq area that can be accessed at the top of the page. I think once they sarted them for each forum they would grow quite quickly.
