Default I didn't use them because they don't have online prices or a shopping cart.

I am boycotting all "email us for a price" web stores.

Default I thought I was the only one.

I guess after the third or fourth time they didn't ever actually get back to me with prices, I figured it was just a ploy to get you to call.

I prefer to shop for car parts in the comfort of my own computer room, and not have to call during my work hours, on a phone not meant for anything but my business...

Default Special case.

Nice shot at a "gotcha", but that isn't really one, and here's why:

Matt and I originally did all our stuff via e-mail, which went well, no delays, no problems. Then there was a hassle with the shipped product, which required more than just a few quick sentences, and discussion on appropriate action.

Before the hassle, the e-mail thing was fine. Afterwards, it needed more.

*In general*, I don't go with "e-mail for prices" places, unless I already know the business.

If I don't know the business and get the "e-mail for prices", I pass them on by.

BTW, Apikol used to be a place where you could get pricing via the internet, but only order via phone.

I stick by my original comment, as applies to companies I know and trust. I also stick by my comment in this thread, for companies I've never dealt with before.

Default Sometimes, to check stock, you gotta call.

ECS is like that - they'll let you order, then when the stuff doesn't come, you call and ask - then they say, "yeah, that was back-ordered. Should have stock in three to six weeks." Uhhh, thanks.

Force5 is another one of my special cases - Chris came recommended, and that meant a lot. He's come through pretty well for me.
