Default I tried this sometime ago and the first try cracked the reservoir with 5 psi, the second time cap

started leaking on me. I reverted back to a sprayer and used it at autox to cool things off.

I've put 15 PSI into the reservoir many times.

Default Yeah, but given the cost of the Motive, it's not really worth your effort....

to make your own.

Unless you REALLY want to be one of those guys who can brag he saved $5 by making his own out of ACE Hardware items.

I used to be that guy. I have better things to do with my time now.

Hey, I just wanted to provide the DIY option. I would probably just buy a done one.

The new reservoir held that but the cap started leaking air.

Default I have the Motive bleeder, but recenty I have stopped using it in favor of...

some hardware store junk I rigged up so I can use my air compressor rather than pumping. It's the next level of laziness

(I use this for coolant pressure testing also.)

Default I recommend never going above 10 psi.

But I rarely go above 5 psi when I do it - 5 psi makes the fluid flow just fine.

Default speed bleeders FTW! I have them and love them...

Even though the website doesn't have Audi, they have em for our cars. I put them in my truck, will be installing on my wifes Tahoe and my allroad very soon. My motive went unused for a period of time and now I have to re do all the hoses. The motive although a great tool, can be messy and wastes fluid IMHO.

http://www.speedbleeder.com/</a

Ditto, I use a min of 15 PSI in the Motive when bleeding.
