Jay Gietl, do you have any picts of the Fumoto oil drain valve on your car?

I'm curious how far it sticks down.

Default FUMOTO! </crazy Japanese samurai accent>

i have one.. doubtful if I have pics though.

it doesn't hang down hardly whatsoever. at least that's how mine is. It's just a short section of pipe with the ball-valve.. no 90* turn. Oil comes shooting out the end.

Default Doesn't hang down, but it is "fun" during install to clear the starter cable tube. See link to PN

I have the T-207. Doing it again, I would get the one with the nipple so I could put a hose on it during an oil change.

Link to Fumoto - Ours is T-207 unless you want the nipple

Does the valve stick up into the pan? Can some dirty oil remain in the pan?

Default I really started thinking about 'em while chaning the Subie's oil. Those belly pans are a PITA!

I have the ECS magnetic plug for the S, but that is kinda soft, and is striping.

Default I'm concerned about the valve opening at the wrong time...

And, loosing all da oil...

Although, it looks like it would make oil changes on a Ur-S a much cleaner operation. My oil changes end up looking like an Exxon Valdez shipwreck. ;^)

They are very stout valves that click into place. No worries there..
