Default A little oil seepage around the top of the EM gasket by the front most cylinder...

Anything serious? Doesn't look like it's leaking from the valve cover up front...any ideas?

Valve cover is also little leaky on the back side, which seems odd to me. Records show it was changed in July (about 16k MI. ago) right before I bought it back...perhaps I'll check to see how tight the bolts are.

Default Well................................>>>>>

1st pull the coil pack cover is there any oil on the connector boots? If yes replace VC gasket not much money easy to replace too. 2nd pull the timing belt cover and see if it's coming from the cam seal or the front teh of VC gasket. 3rd the breather hose is right there check the clamp and hose for tears. If you need a new VC gasket try the following link. When do the VC gasket I use a little black rtv on the half mooons at the back of the head and a little in the front at the half moon built into the gasket, along with some on the bit that goes over the forward most cam cap. Default Good idea, it's a good excuse to check the torque on the spark plugs too...

...the camshaft oil seal also came to mind. The VC doesn't appear to be leaking at least externally on the passenger side of the engine.

Thanks for the heads up on the breather hose...and the FAP site (cheaper than FAP99 which seems odd)! )

Address the VCG soon. Rear seepage drips on the starter and fries it.

Default Look inside. The No. 15 bolts at the front are longer than the No. 16. My guess some got swapped.

Default Which would be scary as the shop the guy was bringing it to claims to "really" know old s-cars! :o\

As I was searching last night I did keep seeing you mention about being careful not to mix up the bolts! Scary to think professionals might have done this!
