Default its not competition man, it's cheating. your kit doesn't not fall into this because its not McCulloc

i am glad you're happy with your kit.

Default because the kits are fake...not yours, but the McCulloch's from HK

if they sold the same kit w/o the brand it would probably still sell for the same price to some people. but others trust a brand and they're abusing the established reputation of McCulloch. your kit could very well be identical to the fake McCulloch just w/o the branding.

Andy C. told me that if I couldn't sell the "McCulloch" kits on eBay because they were being removed, that he could have any brand i wanted put on them. doesn't that sound fishy to you? I have emails with complete headers to prove this.

Default potting material is some black goo that is poured into the

housing completely enclosing the circuit board (thus sealing from moisture). It hardens and prevents you from seeing details on the board.

Default FWIW, I bought the kit in spite of it being labeled a McCulloch, not because of it.

I don't know why anyone would assume a McCulloch kit is better than another off-brand Chinese-made HID kit.

Default What is the physical differences? What has your distributor told you to look for to verify

the HK kits are fake? Is the difference that a McCullochs distributor says one is fake and his isn't or is it provable? Are they both made in China? Is it possible that the "fake" McCulloch kits are the same as the "real" McCulloch kits but the US distrib is pissed that some kid in Asia with connections is underselling him? If your claiming that the kits we all bought are fake can you prove it or explain the advantage (besides warranty)of the "real" kit?

Just throwing it out there.
