McCulloch HID kit 9006 group buy? Is it still going on? I'd like to get one...

Apparently my point was too subtle for you.
My point was that being "well known" is not the same as being desirable or high quality. I bought the "McCulloch" kit because it was so much cheaper than even a used OEM kit (from Osram, Phillips, etc.) that it was worth trying. I had very low expectations.
The whole HID retrofit thing is so obviously grey market already (because it's against DOT regs, remember) that worrying about whether a kit is authorized for sale in the USA or whether the factory that made it was or was not under contract with a particular company when they were made is silly.
