Methanol Injection kit......what would you do?...........

..since the intensive washer tank was smaller, I hooked up the windshield and headlight washer lines to that tank, then just bought a new primary washer tank with filter, and ran the water injection lines to that. You do NOT want to run out of water on the track....it can kill the pump if it's not protected from running dry, plus people will pass you. ![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I'd pour straight blue washer fluid into both tanks, and the car would run like an animal at the track. I could detect no difference between 100 or 104 octane race gas vs. 89/91/93 pump gas plus water injection. In fact, 89 plus WI felt just as fast as 93 plus WI, and there was a noticable loss in power the few times I did run out of washer fluid in the tank (and I cooked my pump once because of it).
Blue washer fluid is 50/05 methanol and water in most cases, and methanol is 114 octane or something crazy-high like that. Don't use orange or the anti-freezing formula.

for the money it's probably the most power you'll get outside of a chip. Can't wait to try a dyno run w/ and w/o.

water becomes a much bigger problem than burning the pump. have you tried using 100 oct, it's not THAT different if you chip is designed for 91/93.
it will basically give you high octane gas for a cheaper price and steam clean your engine, but unless you tune for higher octane you won't see tremndous power increase.

but not relying on it for power. maybe if the AAN wasn't so expensive, i'd be willing to use it.

I'm not sure where it is or how easy it would be to tap into, but if the low washer fluid warning was part of the water/methanol injection pump power circuit, you'd both get a visible warning when you were running low on fluid and prevent the pump from burning out.
