Default Oil burning at random times...

The S4 is burning a decent amount of oil. However I cant figure out what its from because I know from a previous post smoke at acceleration = rings and smoke at deceleration = valve seals.
For me its when im stopped at a light for a short while, it will burn a bit of oil, then stop before I start going again. It doesn't even happen at every light probably every 10 stops. Could this possibly be the turbo? I hope so since i was going to replace that anyway.

Default Idle = med to high vacuum = higher potential the issue is valve seals. However, sounds like you

might want to have a compression test done. Engine needs to be normal operating temps. Probably want to do dry test and a wet test (with some oil squirted into each cylinder, in turn, to check the condition of the rings).

See link below for specs on compression test results.

Link to compression testing info (and bonus AAN workshop manual)

Default Would the PCV system have something to do with this?

I've read that stuck valves (PCV) can lead to consumption.

For Dino oil and summer temps, the manual says "OK".I have run 20/50 since 1998. (running 10/40 now)

Default my car also smoke out...

Seem it smoke out everytime when I shut down
the engine for a while.and then when started the engine at idle a puff blue smoke will be out.I need to rev for 30sec-1 min then the smoke
is disappered.sometime at the idle smoke is also out for a while.
PCV is 2+ years life.
Regulating valve is stock.Good idea to replace?
Replaced the good used of K24.
Valve seals is 2 years life.

Thinking to start the compression test first.
(motor is good at idling, vacuum at idle is -0.5Bar,Very good accel,No leakdown,no pressure out of the dipstick)
then the Regulating valve and PCV.
Try my 3rd good used of K24.

Finally, Valve seals and rings (in this case Do i need to remove the head off for the valve seals job?
