Oldest urS4 in the USA
I have 1992 AUDI S4. Month of manufacture Sept 91, vin # WAUHR54A3NN023773. This indicates that it was the 23773 car AUDI made for the model year 1992. In 92 AUDI USA imported a total of 1808 cars representing all models. Audi USA can not provide anymore info than this. Does anyone know an earlier S4, or can I claim to have the oldest S4 in the USA?. Response appreciated

The 1992 C4 100/S4 model year builds started in August 1, 1991 with NN000001. NN023773 was probably built in the first week or so of Sept. 1991 because the last 100/S4 built in August 1991 was NN023429. At one point, European Car magazine, in an early article about the UrS4, said that only 250 UrS4s were going to be imported into the USoA in the 92 model year.
Just for fun can you check and post up your engine number? I am guessing that is somewhere in the range of AAN002020. The engine number is located on the bar code sticker on the cam belt cover or on the head, just underneath the point where the breather pipe leaves the front side of the cam cover, as shown below:

Hmmm...I know Ned Ritchie the founder of Intended Acceleration. Not sure who Dave is. If you happen to look at the exhaust manifold in detail, check for the PN (starts with 034) cast into the manifold. See if it ends with "IA". If so, you have the very rare Intended Acceleration "RS2" exhaust manifold (supposed to flow better than a real RS2 manifold).
