Default Paging Gary Lewis re: "Audi A8L (Lang) rotor" for 993tt caliper?

Gary,

Your previous post on the brake upgrade references these rotors to use with the 993tt calipers. I stopped by my Audi dealer to purchase and was told not a stocked item. They are at the Jacksonville, FL depot, and would cost about $185 each.

There was NO reference for original fitments, and all ETKA inquiries on recent A8's failed to show this part number??? What specific year and model of the A8 were you referencing?

Just want to make sure I order the correct parts. I already have the RS2 brackets and the 993tt calipers so the rotors are the missing link.

Which brake pads do you prefer to use with this setup?

Thanks,
Bryan<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/s4s6/msgs/29578.phtml">You don't need custom rotor hats with the RS2 brackets and the 993tt's...</a></li></ul>

Default US Spec 2001 A8L (Lang, L, Long, etc.) The part number is...

4D0 615 301 A. If you have a source that can buy from IMC/FAST do so. Most mechanics can. They are like $55 ea. Offer him a "finders fee". It will save you a ton of cash.

I don't have ETKA, so I can't tell you if that number shows up or not. But I am REALLY sure it is correct. Also, call Crescent City Porsche in Oregon, their prices are SUPER cheap.

Default That's the part number I've heard too

and I got a good price quote from a place that advertises on here. Well, the link is below. I don't remember the price was it was way cheaper than the other quotes I got. The rotors are hard to find as well, at any price. Only the dealer and a few places could get them.

(and yeah, Crescent City Porsche is in New Orleans)<ul><li><a href="http://www.brakeco.com/">Brake Parts Warehouse</a></li></ul>
