Default Problem with Audi radio

When I went to my car today I discovered that my radio is no longer working. I was turning the volume **** it was jumping from low to high, I could not push it in to turn it off.
I know what is faulty...the potentiometer! :/

Heres some pics.. - where can I buy a new one?

Is it possible to get a new one?

Thanks in advance, Jaro

Default I have problems with my radio too....

..... for some reason the FM frequency doesn't work anymore. Just happened a few days ago. AM works, the Cassette player works, and the CD changer works. When I put it on FM it acts like its not picking up any stations. Thought?

Oh, is the radio supposed to turn off when you shut off the car? Mine doesn't, I have to manually turn it on and off when I get in the car to go somewhere.

My radio stays on when my car is off. That is stock, as far as I know. That is ok with me, but I don't like the buzzer to sound when I open my door.

Default Good junk yard item.

I had to replace the face of my HU (funny story below) and got one out of a junk yard for $5. Then a year later I got some tape deck parts from a different HU at the yard $25 for the whole unit. Greenleaf in Leominster MA. You have to convince them to let you in the yard though.

HU story:
I bought a used mast for my Hobie cat off ebay but it was in NJ and the seller wanted pick up only. Road trip! So I drove to get it. All I actually needed from it was the fiberglass competition tip, the aluminum part of the mast was bent badly anyway so I brought my saws-all, cut up the aluminum to fit in the trunk and slid the comp-tip through the back seat. In an effort to keep it from sliding forward I put a towel around it and bungeed it to the armrest. I made it all the way back to VT and within a mile or so from my house I had to hit the brakes hard and well...the bungee did not hold. It cleanly took out the stereo LCD and nothing else. Lesson learned I guess. I didn't bungee it tight because I did not want to munge up the leather.

Good luck with yours
