before I get on it I would like to make sure if this is what I want. (it would be setup coming as a part of a deal)
First of all, sometimes I drive friends' s6 rs2'ed w/ 1st or 2nd gen. Stromung, which is absolutely uncomfortable in daily use. Basicaly I'm getting deaf with it after 5 min. driving. Now I have a chance get the 2B setup Cat-back w. Stromung 1 downpipe.
Anybody has that thing installed here (exhaust)? I just need somebody to confirm it's not louder than the Stromung gen 4 or 5. Except of me being deaf, here, in NJ i would be pulled over every other corner with something louder. Get it ir skip it?

You gotta track down Sam..
email me, and I'll connect you two off list.
Posto@comcast.net
PS: The 2 Bennett system, center and rear pieces ARE in fact produced by Stromung.
Once you study the unit side by side, you;ll see what I'm talking about.
Show me a photo of that 2Bennett system and I'll identify the version .
Gen 1 downpipe can work if it's in good condition.

I may be wrong about my statement and have to qualify it to:
At one time, Stromung built the center and rear for 2Bennett, where 2Bennett would supply their outstanding full 3" downpipe.
The Stromung Gen 4.5 is 3 pieces, downpipe-center cat-rear resonator & muffler.
The center in your photo looks 'like' a Stromung.
That square 'dent' purpose is to clear the bracket under the center of the C4 chassis.

Look at all those short sections of pipe and multiple welds!
The Stromung IV.5 version has long mandrel bent sections, the nickel flanges are pretty frickin robust, and the resonator looks magical.
It oozes quality.

The dent in the pipe is going to restrict flow and EG velocity.
There will be a high pressure wave bow shock in front of the dent that is created as the gas flows around the restriction. The gas will increase in velocity through the restriction and slow down past the restriction. Downstream from the restriction, the EG will slow in velocity and cool down as pressure decreases.
