I thought I might share a view of my rear suspension with you all. I had to do some clean-up because of an oil leak from my oil-cooler. This is a shot of the Big Red Brakes and my 26mm Happersized Rear Sway Bar (HRSB). If we had 8-10 of you interested we could do a group buy. The stock 17mm bar is good for 33lbs of anti-roll. This bar has 3 adjustment holes good for 125, 140 and 155lbs of anti-roll. The bar comes with sized mounting brackets and urethane bushings and the very beefy heim joints you can just see in the picture at the middle adjustment hole. An s-car.org friend in Denver provides the mounting kit that allows us to mount this to non-92 and Avant cars. If you have a 92 like Cody or an Avant you just need the bar and the included parts. There are also a few Audo only parts required to complete the mod. The price is $420 plus $20 shipping for the bar and $150 for the mounting kit. Enjoy.

Could you expound on the benefits of adding such a [large] swaybar to the rear of my 93 S4?
I fully intend on purchasing the 2B coil-overs in 2004... how would this rear sway bar compliment the coil-overs?
Thanks, Hap!
ps - how about a group buy on the necessary hardware for the installation of those Porsche brakes in the rear of our cars?

The '93+ subframe is obviously missing the sway bar mounts, but curious as to how you mount it to the subframe without the '92 mounting points.
Thanks,
Thanks,

These are the wheels which the previous owner managed to fit on prior to my buying the car. I've never given much thought to the weight disparity.. I wouldn't be surprised if the rear wheels do indeed weigh a little more than those up front. If you've heard of any failures in the diffs due to varying wheel size, please let me know. To my knowledge, a larger rear tire, because it spins a bit slower, will demand more torque from the Torsen diff, and as a result the car will have a slight rear-wheel power bias [might have a negligible effect].
I could be TOTALLY OFF on this... someone please buzz in if you have reliable information.

induce a bit of oversteer, i.e. there would be less traction at the back. So obviously, their theory is different than yours. And they are automotive performance engineers. Who ya gonna believe?
