Greetings all! I've lurked AudiWorld for years, but finally decided to join and post... I hope I have time to keep up!

I recently bought another Audi, '95.5 S6 avant. Emerald Green, with a few mods:

Big Reds
MTM Stage 1
Bilsteins
H&Rs
Forge DV
A pillar pod w/boost gauge

Original engine, turbo, and tranny w/312k miles when I bought it. I'll hit 314k before I empty the tank of gas I'm on.

Why buy a car with 314k? The price was right and I always wanted a urS car since I first drove a '94 S4 in '95. I needed an excuse to replace my Volvo 850R wagon. I like to tinker. It came with maintenance records.

So far I have fixed/replaced:

t-belt & water pump (ah, some fond memories of this job)
1 coil
O2 sensor
tailgate wiring
front rotors & pads
oil & filter change w/Mobil 1
New Bosch Platins

Fast and fun to drive... but I have the urge for other mods such as exhaust, exhaust manifold, bigger turbo, injectors, thinking RS2... but I'd also like to see how many miles I can rack up as is.

Thoughts?

Welcome. There's a reason why Audi made Green cars. They last longer. Green FTMW.

Default Where in WI? I'm in the Appleton area, there's a good VW / Audi following here.

Check out the regional forums on Vortex. There's a fox valley thread that's one of the top 3 longest running threads on Vortex.

Default I'm planning on going to Oshkosh again this summer

Probably staying in Fon du Lac.

Tell me more about the local places to go eat/drink. I like to take in the local color and not support franchise operations. =)

Default Impressive mileage...

So much for the 'rod bearings going at 250k' theory...Is the clutch original by any chance? Mine just turned 217k and I'm wondering how far I can keep going. You just gave me hope...
