Default Returning the Bilstien HD's...will I have the same 2" lift kit problem with Boge?

I'm not really looking for the stiffness that the Bilstien Sports will give, but I don't want to run into the same issue with the 2" lift that the HD's have.

With a set of '91 Springs, and the Boge shocks will I get the half inch lowering, or do the Boge shocks have the same effect as the HD's on our cars?

? 91's - I suspect you mean 92's - go for the konis... or the bil sports - no lift. Boge are SOFT.

Default right, '92, I want softer. I have the TT for a sports car, the S6 is my sport luxo cruiser.

Just my preference and the Wife has to drive it and already complains about the stifness of the stock TT suspension...lol.

Default get bilstein sports, perfect ride

i live in providence ri...just like any other new england city, the roads are horrible. my h&r sport/bilstein sport combo is perfectly liveable, honestly i wish it was a bit firmer. when i bought the car it had boges with the h&r sport, and rode like an oldsmobile.

Default Can I get a ride in your car sometime? My rear shock ate it and I'm trying to decide what to go with

I want something a bit stiffer but living in NE I'm a bit afraid of going race springs and hating the ride.

Plus RI isn't that far away!

Default I'm having the same issue with Sports. Are your spring perches installed upside down?

I STFA and found a pic of rear perches installed like mine are, and they're upside down, causing the rear wheel arch to be about 4 inches off the tire. That's at least 2, maybe 3 inches more than it used to be before replacing struts. I have a 92 so it was a little lower to begin with, and that's what made me suspect the perches.

https://forums.audiworld.com/s4s6/msgs/61325.phtml</a

Default Those are the only ones I have not tried yet

I have tried, Bilstein sports(harsh)and HD(harsh and rancho lift kit). Also tried Boges and now I am running Bilstein touring with 92 springs in sedan. I have some Eibachs to install in avant and was thinking about going with the Konis. So, not too harsh? Are you running the reds or yellows

Default The Bilstein Tourings will provide a supple ride too like the Boges and without the lift of HD's.

They will provide a little firmer damping than the Boges. When you take the Hd's off try to push them down on the work bench. Then you will see why they lift the car and make it ride so hard. You can hardly even push them down.
