Default Saga carpet removal report

As some of you remember me coming from Chicago with fogged windshield and partially wet carpet. I got a pictured report.

Firstly, who was guilty?
<img src="http://img49.imageshack.us/img49/6677/dsc00749wo5.jpg">

4 hrs for taking all parts out and segregate them(2 persons)(thanks J@ro)
<img src="http://img49.imageshack.us/img49/5009/dsc00743ua9.jpg">
<img src="http://img49.imageshack.us/img49/7238/dsc00748pb9.jpg">

In the time the carpet was drying.....
<img src="http://img397.imageshack.us/img397/7062/dsc00757az1.jpg">

I was cleaning the floor...
<img src="http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/8747/dsc00754yg8.jpg">
and took care abou the leather on the seats
<img src="http://img377.imageshack.us/img377/700/dsc00755zh2.jpg">

Of course some folks in the area needed help too ..
<img src="http://img391.imageshack.us/img391/6669/dsc00758ag8.jpg">

In the same time I have noticed there is one place on the floor in driver footwell where the water still collects itself. I made a test.
<img src="http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/9031/dsc00746zo4.jpg">

Found it! The area of relay box/hood opening linkage had some leak. A little sealant in that area solved the problem.
(can't find the picture)

So, the biggest PITA was to get the carpet dry alone - 3 days outside and 4 days in the car upside down.

Finally i got this thing in one piece!!
<img src="http://img56.imageshack.us/img56/2141/img158001je3.jpg">

Getting all the parts together took me around 6 hours (getting carpet back underneath the dash was tough). No screws left!!

So, go check this wonderful audi engineer's plug NOW = ~.5 minute.

Regards!

Default Did you happen to take any more pics while carpet out?

2 reasons for the question

a) I'd like to see how the factory wiring is layed out, what components under there, etc..
(if you didn't want hassle posting, you can email them to me)

b) it'd be great to have labeled shots of items for the FAQ

Default How to get the carpet out?

It seems like the carpet is attached somehow in the area behind where the radio/climate control is located in the center console.

How do I get the carpet out from this area?

Thanks!

-Jeremy
