signs of bad throwout bearing?

i was wondering if you guys knew the signs of a bad throwout bearing the audi dealer said the squealing i hear when leting off the clutch and accelerating is the throwout bearing.

Yep, that's it. My girlfriend calls my car the Turkey cause on certain days it "gobbles".
