someone confirm what the amp is inside the truck storage compartment is
i think its for the car phone.. i like to remove it if i can if its only for the car phone and not stereo ant

Both a stereo amp and cell phone transceiver are in the trunk...
The stereo amp is under the package shelf. The cell xcvr was mounted to the left strut mount area on my car, but they were installed at the port and might not be consistent across all cars.

ya my car does have the stereo amp inside the trunk by the speakers i am talking about the amp that has a key locking it down. if its just for car phone i like to remove it

That's for the phone. I removed mine and secured all the wires behind the trunk liner
I also removed the antenna and the little box on the inside of the glass and tucked the cable up under the headliner. Much cleaner look w/o all that stuff on the rear glass.
