Default steering wheel - how to align

I have the sport steering wheel that I put on my 93s4 several years back now. After a few alignments, the logo on the bottom of the wheel is off center.
My question surrounds how to to this.
I have removed the airbag after disconnecting the battery. I have also removed the big nut.
Should the wheel pull off enough now that I can readjust wheel over 1-2 splines or do I need to remove more items?

Thanks,
Mike

This is the link to the Sport wheel swap instructions, so it's more info than
you need but should provide the info that you want.

FYI it is located in the FAQ

That's about it. You may have to get the Airbag light turned off by somebody with a VAGcom.

Default Yes, Airbag light is blinking

IS there anyway to stop the blinking without a VAG tool?
Funny thing is when I did the airbag conversion the light did not need to be reset.

I think you create the blink IF you happen to remove or attach with the battery connected. No other way to reset other than VagCom or 1551(2)connected to the airbag controller BEHIND the climate control head (AFAIK).
