Dont PVC gasses help to cool the cylinder as well or is this just done by EGR?
And yes I am younger, a spright 32, but old enuf to that I dont know much yet. I just enjoy learning from the wise.

Well at (spry) 32 youre almost old enough to run for president, so I hate to break it to ya, but youre officially a grown up...chronologically anyway, lol.
The pcv valve does help to cool the combustion temp slightly as a byproduct of its operation, but not anywhere close to the egr , cooling combustion temp is the primary function of the egr, which in turn reduces NOx emmisions and reduces pinging.
