Default Those of you running 996 calipers and 323mmm rotors...

What are the best pads for daily (sometimes spirited) driver use? Looking for good value, good wear characteristics, quiet & low dust. My current pads (stock Textars, I believe), which came with the calipers, are very dusty.

Default Good value, huh?

PBR Metal Masters maybe?

I like Ferodo DS2500s but they are expensive and dusty. However they will last a long time and are gentle on rotors as well as being suitable for track duty when coupled with the right fluid.

Default My car currently has OEM Porsche pads. Mine really don't dust much and are super quiet.

That said, I picked up a set of Hawk Ferro-Carbon's when replacement time comes. Reviews seamed to be good, only downside was that they aren't the cheapest pads out there.

Default IMO everything is gonna be relatively dusty. Honestly, get the Ferodo DS2500's

medium dust, great grip, no noise.

SKIP any Hawk pad.. I'm very displeased with the Hawk HP+'s I've been using. Fairly low dust and reasonably good grip but they scream like dyeing cats..SOOOOOOO annoying. Hawk HPS's may solve the squeeling issue however they dust about as much as the Ferodos but with less bite.

Textars are out. Most dust evar! Crap bite

I had always wanted to try Pagid Blacks RS-14, had heard they were good, but the Price is pretty steep.

Hawks are cheap

DS2500's are reasonable

Pagid's are esspensive

Textars are useless

so there's my 2cents. I will be putting Ferodo pads in all the calipers I own.

Default Ding! Hawk HPS are teh dust.

Mine are quiet now, however. They used to scream when warm.

Fedoro will be my next pad.
