I found Dave's method of removing the hose easiest. It seems putting it back on wont be a problem either since I could really get in there, maybe i have small hands heheh

DO NOT make it "Dave's method". I regretted removing the hose that way as soon as I tried to retighten the banjo bolt (with it's two new crush washers). Had to buy more wrenches (either longer or shorter) to get in t there. My hands aren't *that* big. ;>)

Nice info. I entered Dave's P/N into the Rector search and it came right up for $14 + shipping....

I called Rector, they said they have to order it so it would take ~2 weeks total...

I wouldn't wait two weeks to go through a middle-man. Go through a dealer and show them pictures of the correct hose and the incorrect hose.

Or go through Scott Mockry at SJM Autotechnik in Portland. You will get the correct hose the first time.

Under the car today to tighten turbo hoses because I seem to be having a boost leak on occasion...

Took a picture of the hose thats on the water manifold now...its Green and Red...certainly not the correct hose. No clue what type of hose that is or what it's normally for. Might be a garden hose.

Going to Charleston for a week tomorrow, hope it holds up...to high speeds

ETA: My Audi stealership orders from Jacksonville, which doesn't have this part in stock either. So they have to order it from Texas... 1 week max....$24 and might be 1 or 5 meters... just sayin...

Thanks for that. Now I have chocolate milk coming out of my nose from snorting on "Garden Hose". Yikes. Definitely NOT the correct hose. Good luck.

BTW, my hose came from the Texas warehouse too (ordered through a Canadian dealer). The first time, the parts picker must have been smoking weed because I got that soft fuzzy heater hose instead of the correct hose. Took two tries to get it right. Maybe you will be luckier.

Scott Mockry would be the safe solution.

Well I just temporarily replaced the hose with a heater hose, hopefully it will last me the 600 miles before I can change it with the correct hose!
