trunk opens when starting the car or even by just turning the ignition on.

I took the glove compartment tray out last night trying to figure out why there is no heat coming out of the center vents. It's pretty tight down there so the only option was to remove the tray but not completely since there is a wire that is attached to it for the trunk release button. Anyway, after putting everything back together, I noticed theat when turning the ignition on, i hear this click from the back and didn't realize it was the trunk opening until i got to work this morning. good thing the trunk didn't open on some heavy braking in traffice and stuffs flying out. ![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I guess I must have just yanked something? Any other ideas?

got something in the glove box that is holdng down the button, or the button is stuck in, or the button has an internal failure, or the two wires that attach to the button are shorted together.
Since the button (and trunk release) only work with the key on, your symptoms mean that the circuit is aways closed.
