IF you want it clean, do not use the headphone jack..
Although the headphone jack with cassette adapter is easy.. it doesn't sound great in my opinion. It clips too easily and gets noisy.
Better to use the dock connector and the Line outputs L&R.. inserted into the CD line inputs..
as noted below..
Much better sound quality for high levels.
