I know! I know! I am not going to get the widest....i was just curious. I have 255/40-17 Michelin PS and they are toast but there is space left on both side of the tires. I was thinking of HTR Z III's. What will fit in the wheel well?

wow 255 , i got 8.5 inch wide rims with 235 and when i turn it rub on the inside :P

Mine are 8" with 35 offset and the car is lowered. What is your offset?

I've had 255/45-17 on C5 S6 rims with only minor rub in reverse at full steering lock. I'm not sure of the offset on the C5 Avus rim, IIRC it's 35.

My tires are 255/45-17 on 8 1/2 rims with 35 off set, and they don't rub.
