remotes don't work (they will sync with my avant).
Central Locking works - swapped the central locking control module - no change.
The bently doesn't cover the 95.5 and up with the rf unit.
There are two other silver boxes under the seat - the smaller one? But it has a wire that runs into the trunk - no plug so not a simple swap.
So where is the reciever???

I was told, neither of these are the RF module. Maybe I was told wrong. I think the Bosh one is the ABS module, and don't know what the other one (closest to the door) is.

I thought someone said it was over near the battery.

There is a description in the tech section where someone swaps the system in a 96 a4.
