Are those the bolt-in style? If so, they do not work with the 1.8t coil pack conversion harness.

Default I would have suggested Apikol with pre-trimmed coils as part of their kit.

But hey.

Default Just for safety measures, I run an aluminum strip on the top of my coil packs.

I guess it also acts as a heat sink also. My buddy is a machinist, and he thought it would be a good idea, so why not.

Default I have been running without anything since Sept. 2005. Coil packs snap on hard if they are trimmed

correctly.

I do wonder if a "hold down" bar would help disappate heat or add heat since the hold down bolts are connected to the hot cam cover.

Default It is true that the coil packs, snap in hard, but it was just a way of making sure that they would

not come off.I have felt the bar at times, and it is pretty hot at the bolting down points, but nothing too serious. The rest of the bar is touchable, now does this help or hinder the setup, I don,t know?Is the heat coming from the bolts or from the coils? Hey, all I care about is reliable coils, because I also had a run of ****ty coils, but for the last 6 months, I have been lucky(fingers crossed)

Default Were those 077 905 115S?

Audi tells me there are no 06B 905 115S coils even though 034 tells me there are. I have ordered but not yet purchased the 077's, if those are not the ones you are running I will just get the R's and take my chances.
