Will I burn in hell for leaving the protective rubber boot off the shock body ?

I did it without doing half of that...
Once I lowered the spring down and it fully extended, I was able to manipulate the lower mount out. Looking back on it though, I think I was replacing the control arms at the time, so the strut body could drop REALLY low. I basically just pulled the down lower mount right out.
