I doubt something is rubbing, but I will check while I'm in there. Don't think anything could rub...

Default Is this the hose with 2 option on KATE?
I know there are a few options on some of the coolant hoses on the S. Some with metal pipes and short hose or long hoses. Anyone have picture of the one you are talking about?

Default Probably not really replaced with genuine hose.
Not unusual for a mechanic to assume "a hose is a hose"...

or the banjo bolt is clogged causing coolant to sit and bake it?
