Default The respray will be costing around $6000-$6500 CAD, once all is said and done.

That's not including in the door jams, trunk, etc. It's just to get the rest of the car back to where it was (and possibly better .

Cheers,

Default I still haven't planned out the software aspect. We don't have any expert tuners like Tony up here.

Just one real AWD tuning shop. Supposedly they have tuned Motronics, but who knows how much experience they have. I might risk it and go with them... they've been tuning for a while.

034 are the people that say it should spool by 4k RPMs:

"Garrett GT35/40R dual ball bearing turbocharger, 68mm turbine wheel, 82 mm compressor wheel making this turbo capable of 600 plus HP with incredible high RPM flow in small displacement motors. Full boost by 4krpm in most 5-cyl, 2.2l applications, 4500rpm in most 1.8t 20v motors."

I'm not sure if they've ever actually built any cars up with this exact turbo and can speak for the results and supporting mods... definitely something I'll have to look into though!

Default I think a 30/40R would be fine for most people... you'd sure as hell have a hella fast car.

After riding sport bikes and driving the latest Skyline GTR though, it's made me alter my goals a little. The GTR was making just over 1 bar around 4500 RPM's and my butt dyno says for a car like it to move like it did, it had to have been in the 450-500 WHP range at 1.7 bar. Not anywhere close to as fast as the R1, but probably pretty close to my old CBR 600 F4. Either way... FUN!

Default Hehe, I hope so. I'm the last person that should be getting into trouble though.

That's why I've gotta do it in a plain jane looking 4 door sedan!

Default 30R = 5k-8K Powerband, 35/40 definetly won't spool at low 4k's

The 5k-8k numbers are from my friends built 200 20vt. That is with head work, custom exhaust manifold, custom turbo back 3" exhaust, and good tuning (o34efi iic controller). The 30R is good for 550 crank hp, won't get you to your 600 crank, but that 35/40R isn't going to really get going until somewhere in the 5k's.

Default Uhh, yeah that clutch kit you got is exactly what you should have recieved.

The 01A clutch and flywheel package has been well tested over and over again with the 01E transmission. We've got that exact setup in every single 01e'd car here, and sold it for years now to many, many S-Car guys.

As we talked about on the phone this morning, there's no doubt there's something up, but that clutch and flywheel kit are the proper bits.
