Default 034 motor/tranny mounts or not? Subframe bushing ???'s too.

I am going to replace subframe and motor/tranny mounts, control arm bushings, etc. As the 034 mounts are 10 times the price of the regular ones are they really worth it? Are the 4 front subframe bushings fairly straightforward? The rear bushings on the front subframe seem to be an issue for some people. What do you do if the rear (back of car) subframe bushings are bad as they are NLA?

Default Nick's wagon was running stock tranny and motor mounts (oem Audi) and he..

had decent horsepower on his car. Just pulled the motor this weekend and the mounts were in fine condition.

Default Which mounts are you referring to?

The density line, or the motorsport?

The density line is what 90% of folks want/need. It's a much added improvement in the firmness and feel of the driveline, without the vibrations that come with the territory of the motorsport mounts. The density mounts will drastically reduce the movement of the motor and trans during sharp throttle/clutch transisitons, making inputs much crisper and keep everything locked down where it should be.

Also... 10x the price?! Where are you buying $6 motor mounts and $2.50 tranny mounts??

Default Sorry, 5 times the price. I missed it was for the pair.

Regardless of the price is it worth the difference? I do thank you for your opinion in the above post.

Default odds are your mounts are just fine, As those of us with actual S-car expierience have found

all you really need is a good snub mount and window
weld sealer filled tranny mounts

window weld = 10 bucks

Default One more question Nate.

Density is probably the best choice for tranny mounts. But I didn't see anything for motor mounts except for the ones that say they are not for cushy cars. Is there one that is firmer than stock but not jarring? My car is harsh enough.
