Default 95 S6 reprograming keyless unlock....
Anybody know?s how to reprogram the 95 S6 with one or two keys?
I tried the S4 method, but didn?t work.

Default go to the tech section - has a write up - it's the same as the 96-97 A4/6's
or search for my posts - I've written it up many times.

Is your range limited to about 3 inches or do I need a new battery

Range is more like 3-10 feet depending on conditions for me.

Default I tried several ways and none worked (including the manual) until..
I put a key in the ignition and turned it so all the lights were on. Get out of the car and lock the door using the other key. Hold both buttons down on the fob until the doors unlock.

Good luck. In 8 years of ownership I have never had a problem with reprogramming my key. One thing that may help: New batteries.
