Default AAN Coil conversion. L Series 1.8T coil packs..

Just thought I would keep people updated. I bought the coil conversion from 034 a while back. Have about 18 maybe 20k miles with this new set-up.

In the past 2 weeks coils went on cylinder 1 3 and 5. Replaced with R series coils from dealer. I imagine that coils on cyl 2 and 4 may soon follow. They did not all go at the same time

Default that is why i will not go to the 1.8t coils

they may be cheaper to replace now, but the obviously don't last nearly as long. I have 162,000 miles on all 5 orginal coils, when they start going, i'll replace them with OEM for another 162,000+ miles.

Default No idea, I actually just got back from Audi dealer

to see how much RS2 brackets are, they are cheaper, but not super duper surprisingly cheaper, so i'd imagine the coils can't be that much cheaper.

Simple: L's fail. R's are a lot better. No issues yet.

Did your 034 1.8t coil packs say 115 L or 115 J?
