Default AAN oil temp and pressure senders.

The UrS4 and UrS6 have different oil pressure senders. The UrS4 had an oil pressure gauge whereas the UrS6 did not. Consult your dealer.

Default Perfect info

This is perfect info. My oil light came on, and I replaced the switch. Now the oil light is still on, I know the pressure is OK but the warning light drives you nuts. The correct pressure switch is coming tomorrow, hopefully this will see the problem go away.

Well I guess Oops is the word... Changed the oil pressure switch and my oil pressure light is still coming on. Oil pressure is fine though; I guess I have to check the wiring again...

Sorry. I have to ask: You did get the correct switch for your car, right? The UrS4 switch is slightly different than the UrS6 switch.

Yup I did get the right switch for the URS6. I have checked the wiring and still have not found the problem. Oil light comes on as soon as the engine is revved to around 2000rpm. driving me nuts... I resoldered all the connector plugs on the back of the instrument cluster, changed the switch, tried grounding the wire after starting the engine and still the light comes on. So it's in the wiring somewhere...? Any help appreciated.

2000 RPM is the point where the oil pressure is "checked" to make sure it is high enough (or not). You might want to try threading in a manual oil pressure gauge (on hose) into the hole where the sender switch is located to check to see if you do have sufficient pressure, e.g. >30 psi at 2000 RPM. The old (and new) switch might be working just fine.

I had all the oil pressures checked, and they are all within specs. Mildy mindboggling, this problem...

Default multiple oil pressure switches

I keep hearing about multiple oil pressure switches, but I'm guessing those do not exist on AAN engines, correct? Just trying to stop the warning light from coming on, the oil pressure is well within spec. What else could cause this?
