Air/fuel gauge working, says I'm running very lean......

I've never seen a hotmail to hotmail do that. That's a good deal, I just have to see how I can conjure funds, if possible. RS2 comes first, so do what you need to do first, and I'll pick up the slack if you still have it then. I'd love to snag it now, but, well, you know.

I am probably one of the persons Mihnea was referring to. After installing an RS2 setup and new software, I was running lean at WOT. I took the fuel pump access cover off (in the trunk under the carpet, on the hump to the right of the ski sack) and tapped in two shielded female connectors. I then hooked up my digital multimeter with 6 ft of wire and ran the car on the road with the multimeter on the dash. The voltage at the fuel pump was 12.4V at idle (battery voltage was 13.3 to 13.5 V). Under wide open throttle, the voltage at the battery dropped to 11.82 volts. Not good. Fuel flow is pretty linear with voltage. This resulted in Sean Douglas (quattro20v) and I hatching the idea (not really that new) to relay our fuel pumps to the battery. We did this (I wrote up and posted the procedure some weeks ago).
With the relay installed, the voltage at the fuel pump at idle was 13.3 V. Under wide open throttle, only dropped to 12.92 V (1.1 V more than before the relay). Things are better but not perfect. I am still researching a fuel pump upgrade to make sure that I always have enough fuel at the injectors. When I know more I will post.
In the mean time, the relay trick might be a solution to the MTM+1 pinging.
