Default Definitely challenging

<img src="http://www.theswansonfamily.us/modules/gallery2/d/50380-2/IMG_3880.JPG">

I started the project almost 2 years ago (wintertime 05).

I've done my fair share of engine swaps at this point (straight 10vt swap into my 4k, then upgraded to EFI, then swapped in a 20vt, then the v8tt coupe). I can very easily say this was the most difficult swap I've done yet. I could easily have done 2 or 3 20vt swaps in the time it took me to do the v8.

All you gotta do is read the project thread on motorgeek to get an idea of whats involved. If you can make it through all 30 or so pages anyway..: <a href="http://www.motorgeek.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=5573">project thread link</a>

Now that I've had a chance to drive the car for a bit it was definitely all worth it. I've been in a high powered 20vt or two (both Neil and Nick's stroker cars) and neither come close in terms of torque response to the v8. You cant accelerate up a steep hill at 1200rpm in either of those cars, you can with the v8. And the engine noise.... stereo what?

Definitely still more to be done on the car but I'm going to bring it to waterfest and hopefully a few late season NEQ track events.

Default no, jim green has a monster 20vt powered 90

That's Nate Stuart you're thinking of, the only other person to my knowledge with a v8tt audi (excluding factory stuff like the rs6).
