With all this Radio talk, how to get tape out?

My XM Radio tape input is stuck in my deck. It acts like it doesn't know there is a tape inserted, as I cannot select TAPE with the mode button. I have attempted to hold the two direction buttons, but with no avail. Next step screwdriver? Is the deck hosed?

My service records show that the previous owner had a similar problem with my S4. He did not replace the radio and I've used tapes in it without any problems so there must be a solution that involves some tinkering. In my car, the tape is ejected automatically when the radio is turned off. However, I've got Gamma CC and you would have a Delta headunit in a 95.5 so it may be different.
It could very well be that the tape is in between ejected and inserted; that is to say that the radio thinks it's popped out but it's not fully out of its slot.
If some improvising doesn't work, you can purchase one of these refurbished units for 25 dollars.

Your car looks pretty fantastic by the way, working tape player or not.

I've had my wired tape adapter get stuck. As mentioned already, since I have an S4 and the older deck, it tried to eject the tape when you power off the deck. Sometimes when it's stuck I need to do this a few times, even as much as lightly tugging on the cord to coax it.
If there is no blatant eject button see if it tries ejecting when you turn the HU off.
