Default T3 is larger and will will flow more than K26 - and gives you more / cheaper choices for turbo

However you need a custom header (I have one), custom DP and you need to shuffle airbox and other stuff.

Default VRLife says T3 requires a different DP and EM flange

Aren't the K26/Gt30r units just a K26 hotside scroll which has a smaller exit to the DP and thus would flow less but are a direct bolt in?

Default Yes and no....

The GT30R/K26 turbos will bolt on without changing your downpipe or header, although both should be changed...unless you like replacing your head due to excessive EGT's

However:
-1) Even the 2Bennett Hose will not fit the 4" Inlet on the GT turbo..so will need to figure out new plumbing there. Might be able to use an 4"-->3" reducer...maybe. Or order the GT turbo with a 3" Inlet (w/o Anti-Surbe 4" inlet) and use the 2B Hose.
-2) There is a chance the Compressor Housing will hit the Exhaust Manifold. I had to file down my housing to fit my Turbo. Although I am running a TO4E Housing...not sure if the GT Housing has the same issue or not?
-3) Oil and Coolant lines to/from turbo need to be replaced...DONT forget your Oil Restrictor!!!!!
-4) Airbox probably will need to be replaced due to issue #1 above, if go w/ 4". Check out 034efi's offerings.

Default None of that applies to me except the DP.

I will change my DP if it means a better flowing turbo. Everything else I have is custom so that won't matter. If the hot side flows better in a T3 housing, then there should be less lag, right? So I could move to a slightly larger compressor without more lag and gain some power (theoretically). I don't mind changing the DP for that. If there is barely a difference between buying a ready to bolt on 034 turbo with K26 hotside and one with a T3 then I will get the K26.
