Default Dude, F*** the exhaust, how does it RUN with the T04E/50?!?!?!?!?!

It's a little smoke, girly-man. Heysus, I'm on pins and needles here (and I kinda like it)...

Threadjack, sorry :^)

Default Ok Ok....

-1) It looks absolutely amazing..it is HUGE!
-2) For some reason we are only getting 15-16 PSI not sure why.
We have checked:
- Swappped out WGFV
- Pressurized the sytem no big leaks
- Check the VMAP and confirmed set at 2.9 BAR
- Only thing in question is whether or not the boost chip was changed for some unknown or accidental reason...TBD or other?
-3) She is fast with only 15-16 PSI..I cant wait till we are in the 27 PSI range...I think she will be sick
-4) Lag seems no more on the butt dyno then it was w/ the RS2/K26
-5) The smoke is absoultely embarrasing once the car warms up...glad I dont live in Boulder ;-)

Stay Tuned

Default I found that the T04E was less linear...

...than the RS2++ ITS turbo. The RS2++ pulled nicely from like 2600 rpm, and just built boost linearly until full boost.

The T04E was just a foul beast. All of a sudden around 3400 rpm it just started spitting venom and slammed you into your seat. Like an on/off switch. I honestly don't know which one is faster. I may have been driving a 54 trim BTW...

I'd bet the RS2++ (or the regular one for that matter) would throw down the better 60 foot, but the T04E is mean at speed.

At any rate, it sounds fun.

Default Nasty. More fun than an RS2, just not convinced it is faster.

Now a 57 trim? FOULest of the FOUL. Should be loads of fun. Better have a zero pressure loss FMIC, and some custom tuning (lean at low rpm), or you will wait till armeggedon for full boost.

Default I had trouble with boost levels.

In changing turbos as I've done on my 3B several times now, the boost levels always seem to vary. I've resorted to a manual boost controller on a couple of occasions. It's always ended up being a matter of balancing the WG spring rate. Try a stiffer WG spring and crank the preload down and see if you can generate the boost then.

G'Luck,
Rich
