Default Anyone install an aftermarket oil cooler?

I did a search and could only find a one person. I am planning on a front mount IC and would like to also replace the tiny, rusted, stock one on my URS4 with a longer narrow one like my RS4 oil cooler

Default Here's what I did...

I mounted a 21 row Earl's oil cooler in the stock I/C location. The ducting was worth about 10 degrees in cooler oil.

Default This is what he did...

Since Josh does not run a RAIS he had the space available where the stock oil cooler goes. So, his is on the other side from Mike Pederson and me.

Default It works great...

I've had it mounted for about 5 years. We added the cowling last year. As I said, it lowewred my oil temps by 10 degrees.

Default This is what I was working on before the crash

I had a similar oil cooler to Haps. It was a 19 rom Mocal mounted in the same spot as Haps. I also had a FMIC and as you can see the ducting had to be made to fit around the plumbing for the intake tube coming off the intercooler. If anyone with a FMIC is interested in this I would be willing to sell it. The cooler mounts to the tabs. I planned to make brakets to mount the whole unit to the stock intercooler tabs.

Default Hmmm...how much? Also what did you use for your DSY?

Did you use the stock oil cooler or get a larger one and mount it on the pass. side? I just ordered my DSY ;-)
