Default Yes - I am - love playing with my C4 S4 *MUCH* more than my B5 ;-)

Working on the B5 is like fixing an expensive Swiss watch: one sneeze, and you can blow away $5 grand...

Default Wow. As if there isn't enough heat back there already.

No any other options, though.

The C4 will always be a bigger, heavier car power/cost aside. But regardless, I'm keeping mine!

Default If only it had a better brake booster it might be possible to put on big enough brakes to

counteract all the mass.

In a nutshell, it's a pig, even more of a pig than the B5.

Default Love your sig, looks like my car ~1 month ago... but B5 Stage 1 is better bang/buck proposition

I still enjoy driving the B5 as it is lighter, revs/boosts/torque faster (thanks to V6 + Twin Turbo), is much more nimble, more fun in the twisties. It also has a very nice interior... yummy alcantra ;-) Since my kids are still small I haven't cared about the rear passenger space.

It's easier to get a bigger bang in Stage 1 upgrade than C4 S4 (330 vs 280hp) from just s/w. But after that it gets VERY expensive very fast, even if you do it yourself.

As a DIY car the C4 is excellent e.g. I could not have done DIY FMIC for the B5. And it's so much nicer to work on, I've definetly enjoyed it more.

On the other hand the C4 is PIA to tune. The B5 with VAG, APR Explorer and Lemmiwinks is just superb for DIY tweaking/logging. That's the key reaon I got the B5 first.
