bad turbo?

there had been oil leaking from the valve cover gasket and was not taken care of right away...would there be some way the oil affected one the sensors associated with the turbo or is the turbo gone bad...it stopped boosting quite suddenly

More likely a boost leak.

Turbo doesn't spool? Suppose you could've run it out of oil due to leak.
