From what I've read in the archives, stay away from ECS <A HREF="http://www.ecstuning.com/stage/edpd/pagebuild_v2.cgi?make=Audi&engine=20v%20T&model=C4 %20S6&submodel=Quattro&category=Braking&subcategor y=ECS%20Stage%202" target="_blank">Stage 2</A> and go right for <A HREF="http://www.ecstuning.com/stage/edpd/pagebuild_v2.cgi?make=Audi&engine=20v%20T&model=C4 %20S6&submodel=Quattro&category=Braking&subcategor y=ECS%20Stage%203" target="_blank">Stage 3</A> if you go with ECS.
What about <A HREF="http://www.bira.org/info_main.html" target="_blank">BIRA</A>? System 1? System 3? System 4?
Any other options? <A HREF="http://www.movit.de/" target="_blank">Movit</A>?
In the <A HREF="https://forums.audiworld.com/s4s6/msgs/161369.phtml" target="_blank">FAQ</A> I see Dave's post about 993tt and 928 GTS calipers w/A8 rotors, I assume this is cheaper then buying a kit? What's the difference between 993tt and 928 GTS calipers?
I don't see any posts with pros or cons for any particular kit, so am I missing something?
Nothing in a quick glance of the FAQ either (seems like this would be an excellent topic for it though).
I'm not planning on tracking the S6, nor do I plan on ever putting anything bigger than possibly a 17" (right now I'm running 15s for the winter - and will be putting Fuchs back on in the spring).
The G60s are great on the B4s but seem a little weak on the S6...what's the best bang for the buck for a non-track car?

our cars and 993's have the caliper mounted in front of the hubs, however a 928 has their calipers mounted behind the hubs so the positions of the leading and trailing pistons are reversed. All that is required on the 928gts calipers is to swap the bleeders and crossover tube.

RS2 brackets (also seem to be the most reliable brackets as well), 323mm A8/S8 rotors, lines, pads. The OEM audi rotors are the cheapest and work just fine. This is what i run, and i have no plans of tracking the car. You can 993tt rotor rings with custom hats if you wish, but they are the same size diameter and only marginally (if at all) thicker, and they are all cross-drilled. The only reason i can see to go for them is if you plan to track the car a lot. Some people (Miniman) run 996 calipers, i don't know if you can run them with the RS2 brackets or not.

I do get a discount through the dealer I used to work for (Porsche/Audi) - don't know how much it'd help - or if there's a better source...

...that doesn't seem to follow typical Porsche logic. And as tpierce said, do they mount up with the A8 rotors and RS2 carriers?
I'm looking at PET (KATE's friend) and the only common calipers between the 996 C2/C4 and Boxster are:
996 351 425 22 (L)
996 351 426 22 (R)
It shows that the calipers are used on '00 and up (to '04) 996s (4WD) and '04 Boxsters (special model '50 years spyder'). My PET only goes to '04 so...somewhere in that range. Are those the calipers you're referring to?

that is what i did. <a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/s4s6/msgs/166084.phtml"> This is what i paid for the parts</a>
I probably won't buy pads again at the dealer, you can get them considerably cheaper going after market.
